Rockii Peonies and Species
Select Plus has some 150-200 Rockii peonies to offer for sale starting on May 28-29 on weekends and for fall shipment also. These will be all photographed and labeled so you may by your unique peony by photo and not have to get a surprise. Remember that seeded plants are all one of a kinds. These peonies are 4 years old and will sell at $49 plus regular shipping expenses if needed and taxes.
Due to the large amount of inquiries for this spring all Rockii peonies will be $49 without knowing any colors.
Extreme resistance to cold, drought, and disease the Rockii peony is very well suited to our northern climate being hardy to (-40F) without protection, colder with protection. They are easy to cultivate and are quite “pest” resistant, meaning deer. In areas of high summer heat, they appreciate some light afternoon shade. They are hardy in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Our peonies are grown in a zone 5 CDN, 4 USDA.
Rockii flowers are fragrant and good for cutting with single flowers
described as having the fragrance of a dozen or more “regular” peonies.
The plants like to be watered regularly but dislike being over watered.
All rockii hybrids are very vigorous, heavy blooming, and tall growing;
30-60".
