Select Plus Introductions
2010 January News
Since 2009, Select Plus Nursery has decided to dedicate its research and development in dwarf lilacs. The goal is to develop hardier plants for warm and cold climates, new colors and select lilacs of superior fall color or fragrances.
We currently have many unnamed seedlings we are working on and will present them to the public over the next few years. An enormous amount of seeding was done in 2009 and we already with young plants have seen some very particular coloration of leaves. Briggs Nursery of Washington will be introducing three of our dwarf lilacs making them available to growers and thus to the wide spread retail market of North America in the next 3-4 years.
These lilacs are 'Colby's Wishing Star', 'Snowstorm' and 'Colby's Twinkling Little Star'
